Review
I’m going to give some general thoughts up front and then move into spoiler territory under the jump. I’d like to start by saying that this movie is awesome and everyone should go see it, Trekkies and non-Trekkies alike. There have been several reviews stating that it’s merely another popcorn action film without any artistic merit, but they must have seen a different movie because there are lessons to be learned all over the place here. I wonder if Alameda is as stupidly inaccessible in the 23rd century as it is today – no BART, no light rail, no freeways.
Presumably, Chekov had spent a lot of time in San Fran during his academy days and he still didn’t even presume to know how to get to Alameda, so either it doesn’t exist anymore or, yes, it’s stupidly inaccessible.
Maybe I should take a break from Tumblr. Maybe that’s what I need.
If you need me, I’ll be at Google+.

Hey, just a quick reminder that ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT RETURNS NEXT WEEK. That’s all.
In some ways I think that if Neil Gaiman himself is okay with this storyline, then it doesn’t matter what else can be said about it. But one must also remember that The Doctor linked Clara to the TARDIS’ Telepathic circuits. It’s totally possible that Sexy told The Doctor to choose her through Clara.
